Cooking Instructions

This smoked brisket grilled cheese sandwich combines those smoky and char flavor profiles into one delicious dish that renews your leftover brisket. Use our Memphis BBQ Brisket recipe and your mouth is in for a world of delight filled with sweet sauce and creamy, cheesy goodness combined with the crunchy textures from the Texas Toast style bread.

Note: It is recommended to use Competition Hardwood Pellets and Sweet Rib Rub with this recipe.

  1. Start up your Louisiana Wood Pellet Grill. Once it’s fired up, set the temperature to 400°F.
  2. To assemble the sandwiches, lay two slices of cheddar cheese on either side of each piece of bread. Follow with two pieces of brisket, sliced in half. Then, add 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce and several jalapeno slices. Sprinkle with Sweet Rib Rub and top with the remaining bread slice.
  3. Repeat with the remaining sandwich.
  4. Melt the butter in a sauté pan and cook the sandwiches until golden brown on each side, about 2 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and serve.
